We don't really have much to update with physical therapy. Nate is doing really well with his walking and crawling. Our main focus now is trying to get him to learn to stand up from the middle of the floor. He is still really stiff with his movements and hasn't figured out that he can bend his knees to pick stuff up off the floor. Until he gets more comfortable in a squatting position, he will continue to have to crawl to the couch to pull himself up.
Here's some proof of how wild he is these days. He's walking so well and starting to get into everything! His playing lately consists of a lot of running and chasing. He's a wild animal!
ST
The speech therapist came as well. Nate has started babbling quite a bit this past month so she wasn't as worried as she has been. He's still quite a bit behind for his age but he's progressing, which is a good sign.
He's starting to try and communicate with us a lot more and it's so funny. Here is his attempt at saying "I love you".

He'll also shake his head "no" but he doesn't know what it means yet. He still thinks it's just a fun game to play.
His other tricks include making kissing sounds and laughing hysterically every time we say "You're so funny!" I don't have either of these on video though. He doesn't cooperate with the camera very well anymore.
Audiology
We had another appointment with the audiologist this week. Unfortunately, we have to go back again next month. He's still not responding to quiet, high pitched sounds at all and they want to know for sure whether it's him just being a turkey or if he really can't hear them. Even if it is something he can't hear, hopefully it won't effect his life too much. He may need extra help in school but we can deal with that when the time comes.
Weight Check
I took Nate in for a weight check at the beginning of the month to see how his eating improvements have influenced his weight. The little stinker LOST weight! I couldn't believe it because he has been eating so well. He weighed in at 20 pounds even. He was only down 3 ounces and since he just started crawling and walking, the doctor wasn't too concerned about it yet.
Sick
We had our first round of illness run through our family this week. It's a day we have been dreading for the past year but it wasn't as terrible as we had feared. We stayed out of the hospital so we were all happy. Todd and I both had colds and, so far, Nate has managed to dodge whatever we had. We're not sure what he ended up with.
He woke up Saturday morning with a slight fever and was a grump all day but didn't have any other symptoms. Saturday night was rough. He was up most of the night with a temp between 102 and 103. By Monday morning, I was ready to figure out what was going on with him so I took him in. They checked his ears, throat, and had to put in a catheter to get a urine sample (he was NOT happy about that!) but everything came back ok. He was dehydrated but not bad enough to have to treat him yet. He has felt a little better today and finally ate and drank willingly so we're hoping we are past the worst of whatever he had. He also lost another 3 ounces so we're going to have a lot of catching up to do once he is feeling better.
