A wonderfully busy week

We have had a great and busy week. First, we made our way to Fallon, NV to visit Todd's brother and his family for a long weekend. We don't get to see them very often so it was wonderful to be able to go and spend time with them. They have 4 adorable kids that were so much fun to hang out with. We played in the playhouse, dug holes in the garden, flew kites, and saw Toy Story 3. It was so much fun and well worth the 8 hour drive.
We got home on Sunday night and then headed to Twin Falls on Wednesday. Todd had an all day meeting for his new job so I went along to spend the day exploring. I studied for a few hours in the hotel room that morning and then went shopping/walking around town for the afternoon. We are both so excited to move there. It just seems like our kind of town. I think we're really going to love it. :)
Friday, I drove to Ogden to take the dreaded test. It was such a long drive by myself just stressing about what was coming but I made it through...and passed!!!! It was actually harder than I expected so I was pretty worried but so glad that it worked out. It's SO nice to be done studying everyday and actually have time to do things around the house. Now we just have to get Todd through his 4 tests....
The week ended with a great 4th of July celebration. We spent Saturday in Idaho Falls for my favorite holiday festivities. We walked the river, had a bbq, and watched the fireworks with friends and family. It was a wonderful day and I'm so glad that we were able to go. We were even lucky enough to get to celebrate twice :) Sunday, we were able to watch the Pocatello fireworks from Todd's parents' roof. We are so luck to have been able to do so many fun things this past week.

Keeping right on schedule

Well it looks like blogging once every 3 months is about all I am going to be able to pull off. As expected, a lot has happens in the Jensen house since March. First thing's first...graduation!! Todd and I both graduated at the beginning of May and it couldn't come soon enough. We were both so tired of school and studying all of the time. We had been counting down the days until graduation for so long that I think we both forgot that we had huge exams that we have to take this summer that require more studying than we ever thought possible. So, our summer has been a little bittersweet. We have both been trying to study most of every morning so we can have the afternoons to work or do things around the house. The testing center was kind enough to let me keep my job for the sumer and Todd is busy with his sprinkler business again. We have been able to spend a lot more time together this summer than ever though so we are very grateful for that.

I'm the worst blogger ever!!!!

Ok so it's been a good 3 months since I have updated this thing which officially makes me the worst blogger ever! I don't know why it's been so difficult for me (maybe it's because I wait too long and then have to post the past 3 months at once). Anyway, I will try my hardest to catch up...

First thing first...our Christmas break trips. Todd and I had a wonderful Christmas break. We did NO homework and basically played for 3 weeks straight. We spent our first week in Connecticut visiting the family that I nannied for for 5 years. It was great! The kids are getting so big . Here are some of the pics.

Todd, Nate (6), and Ewan (10) at Applebees. Don't mind the french fry up Nate's nose.

Me, Chloe(6), and Luca (8). We had lunch together before going to play glow-in-the-dark mini golf.

Chloe doing her best Rudolph the Red-nose Reindeer impression.

I drug Todd to the Toys-R-Us in Time Square. Normally it's super fun but I didn't take into account the fact that it was 3 days before Christmas. It was an absolute nightmare. There were hundreds of people there. Anyway, this is us in front of the Lego Statue of Liberty.
I couldn't figure out how to rotate this picture...sorry :)

This is us at the top of Rockerfeller Center. (That's the Empire State Building right next to Todd's head). I had never been up to the top during the winter and now I know why...it was so cold!

Next some pics of our cruise! We had tons of fun and it was great to get to spend time with Heidi and Jason. One funny little story about the trip... We were driving to San Diego the night before our cruise. About 20 miles away from our hotel in California I suddenly had a terrible feeling that we had forgotten something. We had left Todd's passport!!!! After some frantic calls to the cruise line, we were convinced that Todd and I would be waving to Heidi and Jason as they sailed off. It was a pretty tense night. Luckily, Todd's dad was able to figure out a way to get the passport to us on one of the morning flights from Poky to San Diego. It was so stressful because we didn't know for sure that we would be able to go until about 30 minutes before. We were so grateful to be able to go and next time we will check for BOTH of our passports before we leave the house :)

Catalina Island from the ship

Todd and I on the mini golf course on the ship. In case you were wondering, mini golf on a swaying cruise ship isn't the best combination. It was really hard!

Instead of paying for an excursion on Catalina, we hiked up the hill behind the city. This was the view from the top.

This is Jason in Ensenada. We thought he was just playing around but he ended up actually buying that Browns poncho. He definitely made our trip very entertaining.

Now it's March and school is back in full swing. I am busy doing clinicals, doing loads of homework, trying to work some, and trying to keep up with church callings. It's been pretty crazy. Todd has been just as busy with school and work and he just started teaching seminary this past week. I don't know why we try and do so many things but hopefully we'll get through these next couple of months and be able to breathe again once school is over. Wish us luck!!

Jensen update

So I realized that a lot has happened with us over the last month since my last post. First of all, Todd got a job!! He has had a TON of interviews over the last month and got offered 2 jobs. One was in Boise and one in Twin Falls. After a lot of thought, we decided on the one in Twin Falls. We are super excited to go but the job doesn't start until next fall. Accounting firms have a recruiting season every fall for jobs opening up the following fall. It's still a long way in the future but we are so glad to know where we will be and where he will be working.

We are also getting ready for a very busy Christmas break. Todd and I both are finished with finals on Tuesday this week and we are both so so excited to be finishing this semester. On Thursday, we are leaving for Connecticut! We're super excited! I haven't seen the kids since last Christmas, which is the longest I've been without seeing them, and Todd has never been out there. We are staying for a week and planning tons of fun things with the kids in CT and New York. We come home just before Christmas to spend the holidays with our families and then we are off on our honeymoon!! We are going on a cruise to Mexico during the week right before school starts. Todd's sister and brother-in-law got married back in January and never got a honeymoon either so they are going to come with us. We are very excited to spend some relaxing time in the warm weather.

We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!

Wedding Pics

I know that it has been forever since our wedding but I just got the pictures back a month or so ago and it's taken me forever to figure out this whole blogging thing. Anyway, here they are!

This one is of us and Todd's friends and their wives. These 5 have been buddies for a very long time and Todd was the last of them to get married. They were excited to make the "Fab 5" become the "Top 10".

Todd and the boys.

Me and my besties. My 2 favorite cousins next to me and my 2 best friends from high school on the outside. It was so much fun to have them all there.

I love this picture! And yes, those were really the shoes I wore :)

I was so excited to start blogging....

I've been doing a pretty good job keeping up with the whole blogging thing and I was super excited to post pictures of Halloween this year. Todd and I went to the party that they have every year at the institute. They have a carnival-type party and then have a dance later in the evening. We were playing one of the games with my camera in my pocket and...it fell out on the gym floor and broke. :( I was so mad! So, my blog is going to be lame and boring for a while until I either get my camera fixed (which doesn't seem likely) or get a new one (which is even more unlikely). LAME!
